LED ART AND ADS
This is leading on from the last post I put up about LED ART it was the SHEEP LED. I was reading some of the comments and discussions (on youtube) people had about the last video I put up. The main problem and question that everyone is asking and the same thing I addressed last time is, is this all real or done in house (CG)?
I have looked at another video that presents the same questions and probably the same answers. This one is an advertisement for Honda watch it here(official site) or above. This Honda spot is brought to you by W+K Amsterdam and Erik Van Wyk of Bouffant in Capetown.
Now when I watch these videos I can see some really well thought out plans and great technical skill involved. But I think most people are going to question validity of these videos. I think that some of the footage is real but it all couldn;t be possibly done with out some in house editing and creating. They have done their job in attracting people to watch their videos. If people are questioning and having second thoughts about the videos and how they are made. They have achieved their goal. I think they are both done really well and I can’t find too many more things out their of a similar nature.
There is a behind the scenes video that was done at the same time as this honda ad was shot. In the video they don’t seem to show much of the animations that were in the honda ad. They showed that they could control all of the cars but I never saw any animated sequences. So this should be enough evidence for you to make up your own opinion.
I found something similar a while ago and I just remembered that it was something similar to the Honda ad. It is to a smaller scale though. This video was made as a christmas card, from AKQA who are an ideas-led agency, as they say. This video has to do with sound and light. I find this video to be more believable than the other ones I have talked about. The only reason I say this is because it is not at the same high standard of the others. Does this make it believable? Anyway they have got my attention with the christmas song and I really did enjoy the creativity behind this video. ENJOY
